Hotel Česká Koruna

I felt comfortable here. The hotel and the room and bathroom were clean, it was quiet with no street noise, and the room had coffee and tea making facilities. Breakfast was fresh and good, and there's nothing to complain about. The hotel is in the city center, within walking distance of the sights; the train station is 15 minutes away on foot or three bus stops away. All in all, I'd book Hotel Česká Koruna again.

The staff were very kind and helpful, and the room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was tasty, with plenty of gluten-free options, and the location in the city center is great. Hotel parking is available, but spaces are limited and may already be booked, so I'd check with the hotel ahead of time. The street parking machine takes euro coins and cards, and parking is paid during the workweek. At night, though, it can be hard to find an open space on the square in front of the hotel.

Breakfast seating was limited, and there was no air conditioning or daily housekeeping. The staff were very inflexible: they wouldn't let us check in even a minute early or give us a room with one bed instead of twin beds. They offered a room change the next day, but we'd have had to clear out our luggage and wait until the new check-in time. We wanted to spend the day exploring the area, so that didn't work for us. At least the room was clean when we arrived.

The rooms have been updated with some nice modern touches, and staying right in the town center was a plus. Staff were very friendly and spoke English pretty well, which helped since I don't speak Czech. The hallways look a bit odd, with green carpets and steps and ramps here and there, but everything was clean and tidy. Good value. I'd stay here again next time I'm in town.
