The location is great, close to the castle and monastery, with the other museums also within walking distance. Check-in was easy using a code to open the key box. The owners aren’t always there, though, so nobody greeted me or offered recommendations when I arrived at 1 pm. I met one of them the next morning. He wasn’t especially friendly, but he was very helpful. My room was comfortable and had everything I needed. The bed was comfortable too, but the feather pillows were awful if you need neck support. Both the room and bathroom were very clean. Breakfast was included as a buffet, and the cook comes over to take your order for eggs. It was very comfortable for one person, but I can imagine it being a bit cramped for two. The old town character comes with beams and poles you have to duck around. There’s no lift, as you’d expect in the old town. I was on the second floor and counted 36 steps. The stairs narrow at one point, so hauling a large case up or down could be tricky. Traffic is restricted in the old town from 10.30am to 3pm, so time your arrival by car or expect a five to ten-minute walk over cobblestones.

The scrambled eggs were world-class, and check-in was easy. We absolutely loved our stay at Villa Conti. It’s only minutes from the main area, but tucked away enough to enjoy the peace and quiet of this quaint spot. It really does give you both.

Tomáš made us feel very welcome and was incredibly kind and helpful. For our one-night stay, he gave us great tips on where to eat, what places to avoid, and the top attractions to see. We had a fantastic experience, and I highly recommend Villa Conti.

The hotel is central, with lovely modern rooms that are tastefully decorated. Breakfast was good. The hotel is owned by two brothers, and we met Tom, who was friendly and helpful and spoke good English. He studied hospitality in Melbourne-Australia. As in the rest of town, you need to park outside the center if you’re driving. Head to P2, then use the parking place in front of it, which is cheaper at CZ259 for 24 hrs. The hotel is an eight-minute walk away.

Everything is within walking distance from this lovely boutique hotel in the town center. Parking is nearby and reasonably priced. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a large bathroom and European shower. Breakfast was fresh and delicious. If you’re tall, ask for a room on the 1st floor because the stairway ceiling is low.
