The staff were kind and helpful, and the check-in and check-out times were flexible. We had a unique stay in a historic room with plenty of private space, and the breakfast room was very nice.

Breakfast was the one bright spot. There was a decent amount of food, and the woman looking after breakfast was kind and friendly. But the service otherwise was extremely poor and disappointing. Check-in was listed as 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, yet by 5:00 PM the front desk was unattended and there was no way to contact anyone.

The room was small but fine for one person, and it was clean. Good location too. I loved it and will come back in the future.

The heating kept us awake all night, and we strongly advise against staying here, especially in winter. We turned the heat down because it was already a relatively warm day and the setting was at maximum. There was no information saying not to adjust it. It started vibrating and humming, then made extremely loud banging noises like someone hitting it with a hammer. We were startled, switched it off, and heard vibration and other noise again. After finding a quieter setting, we went to bed, but at one in the morning the banging woke us in shock. With no one at reception, we called the number we had been given and arranged to move rooms. The same heating problems continued in the new room even though we tried not to touch it. We got no sleep, and ended up returning to our room and getting up every 20 minutes to adjust the heat enough to quiet it. We were startled many times through the night. In the morning we told the receptionist how frustrated we were. She said she couldn't refund us because of a "Booking.com policy" and offered to cover the city tax, about 40 CZK. That felt preposterous and ridiculous. We have tried several times to get a refund since, but the hotel has ignored our messages. We also found the breakfast mediocre, and its room noisy, cramped, and cluttered, with no comfortable setup for breakfast. We'd notified the staff about our dietary needs in advance, but how they handled the gluten-free options showed they didn't understand them. It was hard to address any of this because staff were repeatedly absent. At first we liked the hotel's location and appearance, but other signs of poor care appeared quickly. The entrance door handle was broken. There was no staff at reception, and keys had been laid out ahead of time for several guests. Our room was spacious and fairly modern while keeping the house's old character, but the bathroom was small and had a dirty towel. We notified reception and got no response. They present themselves as a "family hotel, where they care about your stay," which didn't match our experience. Parking was overpriced, and the hotel itself wasn't cheap either.
