I strongly recommend avoiding this hotel. I've never experienced service like this. I came with two friends and our two children. We'd booked a Deluxe room and called ahead to request baby cots, so the receptionist already knew we were bringing children. They didn't have cots, but that was fine with us; we planned to have the children sleep in bed with us. When we arrived, the receptionist seemed horrified that we had children, despite knowing this already. She said the Deluxe room was definitely unsuitable for them. We couldn't understand why this was only being raised then, especially as it was the same person we'd spoken to by phone. Still, she checked us in, took our credit card payment, and we went to the room. It was indeed unsafe for children. There was glass everywhere, the beds were very high, and fragile vases and other accessories were all around. My friends and I decided we should leave and ask for our money back, because this was a genuine safety concern. At reception, we explained that the room wouldn't work for the children or for the room itself, and asked whether the payment could be refunded. The receptionist was helpful and smiled as she said she agreed, and that leaving with our money returned would be better for everyone. She said the only issue was that they couldn't refund us on Saturday, but the morning shift would send the money to our account on Monday. We just needed to call and remind them, and there would be no problem. We were worried we might not get it back, but she reassured us that we absolutely didn't need to worry about losing the money. We left feeling at ease. On Monday morning, though, the morning staff and then the manager told us they definitely wouldn't refund anything. They said it was our problem because we'd wanted the room, and that they would keep all the money regardless of what the weekend receptionist had said. We contacted the hotel several more times to try to sort it out, but got nowhere. They kept our 3600 crowns for one night, even though we were in the room for just 3 minutes. We'd never been treated this way before. This behavior, from both a hotel and a human perspective, was absolutely disgusting, and I strongly warn people against staying here.
