Hotel Kouty

The food choices were limited, and the main dishes were so poor on the second day that we ordered only soup, starters and food for the kids. There were no salads, and prices felt high for what was served. The massage was very basic too, yet cost as much as one at a top massage salon in Prague. We stayed two nights in December. The shalet (chata) itself was great, but its two single beds pushed together weren’t a double bed, and the bedroom had no curtains, which disrupted our sleep. I think this place might be good in summer, but I wouldn’t recommend it in winter. There was almost nothing for a family with kids to do besides walk outside, eat and stay in the room. The whole trip ended up super overpriced for what we got. I wish there were more winter activities, a better menu and better sleeping conditions.

We wanted a few relaxing days away from Prague, and the pool and sauna were a great way to unwind. The rooms were amazing, and the staff were super friendly and hospitable. We also tried the wine tasting and brought three bottles home. Highly recommend for a getaway.

Kouty was a lovely forest resort, with cozy cottages, clean air and crystal-clear ponds nearby. The quiet setting made it easy to get away from everyday life. The meals stood out too, both breakfast and dinner were delicious and clearly made with care and fresh, high-quality ingredients. We also loved the private sauna and hot tub with panoramic windows, especially relaxing in the evening with views of the forest. Everything felt clean, welcoming and well organized. I can’t wait to return.

Tátův sad, the best Czech cider, was on tap, and the coffee and food were tasty too. The rooms were clean and cozy, and there’s a lake within walking distance for swimming. The staff were incredibly friendly. This hotel in the middle of nowhere is hard to beat.
