We really enjoyed the pool, which is large and clean, with a jacuzzi and fun water jets you can turn on and off. We spent a lot of time there. There's also a sauna, though I didn't try it. One time we had to leave for a scheduled 30 min pool exercise lesson, but it wasn't a big deal. The hotel is a short walk from everything in Františkovy lázně: the park is 2 minutes away, the main promenade 5 minutes, and Lidl 8 minutes. It's on Americká street. We traveled with an infant, and the staff went out of their way to make things easier for us. The owner welcomed us at the front desk. He speaks Czech, German and English, and kept checking that we were having a good stay. The staff were helpful, and the breakfast was delicious. The hotel was redesigned in 2005, and the rooms are modern and a good standard, with nice bathrooms, comfortable beds, TV, a safe and a mini fridge. The breakfast buffet was a good "German" style spread, with eggs, sausages, vegetables, muesli, coffee, cheeses, hams and more. Nothing was missing, though the restaurant gets very busy at breakfast. We also had dinner from the evening menu and really liked it. The choices were limited and mostly traditional Czech dishes, but the food was delicious, nothing too fancy. There's a big gym with table tennis, bats and balls, and a few exercise machines, including an elliptical, treadmill, rowing machine and multi-purpose lifting machine. It was almost always empty. The hotel mostly caters to German spa tourists who are more interested in its massages and treatments, which we didn't try.

I only stopped in for breakfast, and it was really amazing.
