The building’s architecture is very beautiful, the rooms are clean, and room service is efficient. Two of the receptionists, the big blond guy and the young dark-haired woman, were much friendlier and nicer than the older blond receptionist with the prominent nose, who was rude and unwelcoming. Customer care from her was zero. Breakfast was acceptable, with lots of choice, although the two coffee machines seemed to work only every other time. Dinner was extremely poor, with overcooked vegetables. The place has a sanatorium feel, and the customers are sick.

Our treatments were standard, but the rest of the stay was a huge disappointment. The hotel didn’t look like the advertised photos at all: it was shabby and peeling, with stained carpets and seats and a very unpleasant smell throughout. The rooms were barely standard, with worn-out mattresses and bathrooms that were peeling. Some had only a small tub and a short shower hose, making it impossible to shower properly. I’m surprised by how much four-star hotels in the Czech Republic can differ. Our group might have put up with the problems, since things can go wrong anywhere, but the inattentive, unfriendly staff made the whole impression worse. Even ordering drinks with dinner was a hassle. We’re not usually complainers, and I don’t normally write reviews, but after this experience I’ll definitely start reading them. Never again!
