Horský Chalet Harrachov

We can’t recommend this property. Our trip was called off literally the day before we were due to arrive, leaving us in a very difficult situation. We’d already made all our plans, taken time off work, and prepared for our winter break. Finding somewhere else at such short notice was stressful and expensive. We also lost around 600 PLN on the refund because of exchange rate changes. I don’t think things like this should happen. Unfortunately, the property showed little professionalism or responsibility towards customers.

Communication was quick and easy whenever an issue came up, and the kitchen was top-notch and fully equipped. We stayed as two families and found the accommodation excellent. The beds were very firm but comfortable, and our dog enjoyed the stay too. German TV worked when the signal was good. The wooden construction means the walls are a bit thin. It’s a 10-minute walk to the ski lift or 2 minutes to the ski bus. The food at the Sklar Hotel is excellent. In peak season, note that the pool and other facilities are only available at the Hotel Svornost, not at the Sklar.

We stayed in Chalet 1 for just under a week. The holiday home is nicely furnished, with a lovely kitchen that opens onto the living area, and the rooms were okay. But the beds were extremely hard and urgently need changing. Anyone who experiences that won’t come back.

We had a really relaxing weekend at the cottage, and the owner made it feel welcoming from the start. She was lovely to communicate with and happy to help with any questions or requests. The living room worked well for spending evenings together and playing games, with equipment for children too. There was plenty of space, and the kitchen had everything we needed to make family dinners. The setting is peaceful and surrounded by nature, while restaurants, shops, and interesting places are still easy to reach. We'd gladly come back, and would recommend it to families or friends looking for a break from the everyday rush. Thanks for such a great stay. We're already looking forward to another visit.
