The pension sits right by the Murmelbach-tahl, and it worked just as well for skiing as the higher-up hotels I usually prefer. The lift is only a 10-minute walk away, and it’s a good base for cross-country skiing too. Our room was cozy, clean, and affordable. For four people, we paid 260€ for 5 Nights. The shower took about 2-3 minutes to get warm, and the water pressure was weak, though that’s a pretty minor comfort issue. There’s no sauna, but at this price that’s more than acceptable. Breakfast costs 10€ and had everything we wanted. Dinner was tasty and reasonably priced, as it often is in Tschechien. The owner, I assume, and his wife were very welcoming. They even gave us 10% off dinner. That only came to 1€ for me, but I really appreciated the gesture. We had a great stay, would recommend it and come back.

The cooking was great, the prices reasonable, and there were plenty of tasty dishes to choose from. Lada was a very respectable man who helped us decide what to order, so thank you to him. I hope they add more meals to the menu.

The kids can roam around and explore a magical outdoor place, which gives parents a bit of a break too. That sound of water trickling through the forest is so relaxing!!

We enjoyed the friendly staff, lovely outdoor seating, and good beer, but the food was disappointing. My plate had six rather dry dumplings and only four small cubes of meat. The meal felt unbalanced, with too many carbs, and the meat was somewhat bland and tough. Prices are about average. Unless you’re keen to catch your own trout, I’d eat somewhere else.
