The view from the window was great, the place was relatively clean, and the breakfast coffee was good. Those were about the only positives, and they weren’t enough to make our stay pleasant. We definitely won’t be back. The room we got was below the standard shown on the hotel’s own website, though other rooms might match what’s advertised. The bathroom smelled really bad, so we had to leave the ventilation on the whole time. Room service once left our room open, and on other occasions they only emptied the trash instead of cleaning. Breakfast was monotonous, with a small selection. The bacon was nearly raw, and at one point someone, not sure if staff or another guest, turned up the heater until the food started burning and the dining area smelled bad. Even the salt shakers were empty, or had grains too big to fit through the holes. The free WiFi got spotty when there were more guests around, and the pool water seemed cold.

The only good things were the window view and the food, but they charged extra for water with dinner. Worst of all, the radiator in our room was broken and it was extremely cold in November. The staff said they couldn’t do anything about it. Dear owner, replying to your response, I’d like to add that I have an email confirming I sent the hotel a message about the heating on the same day. It was shared with Booking. In Poland, water is included with half board. You can check any hotel in Szklarska, for example. So you’re lying instead of simply apologizing for this!

Right in the center of Harrachov, this is one of the few hotels surrounded by lush green slopes, and parking is good. The breakfast and dinner buffets have good quality and variety at very reasonable prices. Beds are nice and firm, and it’s pet friendly, with a nice bar and terrace. The two women working at reception and the bar were very helpful, friendly, and accommodating to guests’ needs. They provided professional hospitality.

The location was perfect, with a stunning view of the Harrachov ski area from our room, and parking was easy, though we weren’t keen on the parking charge. We had a great time at Wellness Hotel Šédý Vlk. The staff were all super friendly, and for my wife’s birthday they surprised us with bubbles and a cake. Such a nice touch! We loved trying authentic Czech food. The flavors were amazing and gave us a real taste we’ll try to recreate at home. The wellness area looked nice, but not having proper changing facilities at the spa was inconvenient. The pool was too cold for us, since only one of us likes a chilly swim. The hotel could use some updating, and the place got a bit crowded with children at times. Still, the friendly staff, good food, and location made up for that. It’s a great option for families with kids learning to ski, and we’d definitely return to Wellness Hotel Šédý Vlk. Thanks for a great stay!
