The attentive staff and the filling breakfast, with a few options, made the stay pleasant. My room was small but comfortable, and the hotel is in a quiet residential neighborhood within walking distance of the city center. It was my first visit to Havlíčkův Brod and my first stay at this hotel, on my second trip to the Czech Republic. I'd gladly stay here again and recommend it for a trip to town.

The staff were very welcoming and friendly, and we could feel their hospitality even though they didn't speak English. That's why I'm giving two stars. The hotel itself was dirty, dated, and smelled bad. Dust collected in the carpets and curtains, the drain didn't work properly, and there were no toiletries. Breakfast was poor, and although you might manage one night, I wouldn't stay longer. A translator helped a little. It's not kid-friendly either, with no baby cots or family rooms.
