The pools and the area around them have been left to grow wild a bit, though they're behind the house and don't really affect the impression of the place. Elsewhere, there's a lovely garden for kids to run around in and a beautiful barn with a stove where you can sit. The guesthouse is spacious and works for lots of different uses. Inside is tastefully decorated, the kitchen has what a large group needs, and the hosts are very pleasant and helpful.

We could hardly tell there were other guests around, since the place is large and the rooms are well separated. It's a good fit for couples as well as bigger groups. The owners are lovely, and the surroundings are beautiful. We were glad to find a fully equipped, roomy kitchen. We hadn't known there was a mini fridge in the room, so that was a nice extra. A high chair for the little ones would've been useful, though.

A week before we were due to arrive, I called for more details and found out they'd given our place to someone else who had paid. I'd booked by phone two months earlier, and they confirmed by email that payment would be made on site. I had even asked whether I should pay in advance and was told there was no need, then had to ask them to email me a confirmation. Looking at the reviews afterward, I saw others had run into the same very unpleasant situation. To me, it shows how disorganized they are with administration. If you need to feel sure your booking is secure, I'd look for another guesthouse. I don't think you'll get that certainty here.

The owners greeted us warmly and had a chat with us, and they even let us check out later when we left. Thanks, we'll definitely come back. The guesthouse is beautiful and tastefully renovated, with plenty of space and a large shared kitchen. Breakfast is optional. The big garden is very well kept and has two swimming pools. Lucka
