There are shared showers and toilets, so that’s something to keep in mind, but this is a wonderful base in the Krkonoše Mountains. The owners are lovely, and the cooking has a great reputation. They make Kofola, Kozl 11, and Krakonos 12 here. The building dates from 1915. It’s a beautiful area, with the red ridge leading toward Sněžka a short distance away. The guesthouse sits by a narrow asphalt road that gets very little traffic and is sprinkled in winter. You can go sledging a little way behind the cottage, and there’s a long track along the red ridge where snowboarding isn’t allowed. A small ski lift is about 500 metres away.

The rooms are on the small side but really cozy, and everything was clean. They had a baby cot available, and the kitchen was excellent. We’ll definitely come back.

The owners have done an incredible job, and they’re so pleasant. The location is ideal and the food is perfect. Hats off to them, I highly recommend staying here.

A great base for exploring in every direction, with Malá Úpa and Sněžka among the places nearby. The guesthouse is in a picturesque spot on the edge of town. The owners were friendly, helpful, and lovely to deal with, and the cook was excellent. Breakfast was generous, dinner was delicious, and there were plenty of snacks for both kids and adults. Children could also borrow lots of toys and board games. The place was cozy and clean, and we’d definitely stay here again when we’re in the Krkonoše.
