The setting is beautiful, but the accommodation itself is sadly neglected and has a lot of wasted potential. The place needs a thorough clean and a fresh coat of paint. There were cobwebs everywhere, and the bathroom hand towel was stained. Furniture was an odd mix of older pieces, like something from a student flat, and there was even an old TV receiver put away in the room. Some light switches were behind furniture or the refrigerator, and an extension cord for the lamps had been run over the furniture in advance. The outdoor seating looked nice but was neglected too. The children’s playground was overgrown and seemed not to have been used in a while. The grass had been cut but left unraked. It’s a real shame, given the lovely location.

We really liked this quiet place. The apartment was spacious, with a large bathroom and a beautiful view of Vysoká mountain. We could use the garden for a barbecue or just to sit, park at the house, and the landlord was pleasant.

The owners were very pleasant and helpful, and it seems ideal for families with children. The rooms are cozy, the bathroom well equipped, and the setting in the beautiful Novohradské Mountains is peaceful, with clean air.

We love coming back here every year. The owners are very friendly and helpful, and the interior is clean and beautifully furnished. The surrounding nature in the Nové Hrady mountains is beautiful too.

The surroundings are beautiful, with great cycling in the Novohradské Mountains and a mountain pond with clean water for swimming. The guesthouse is lovely, with comfortable, clean rooms and equipment, a large bathroom, and a balcony overlooking the mountains. The owners are extremely pleasant and helpful. You can have breakfast, barbecue, or get beer and soft drinks on site, and there’s also a well-equipped kitchen for cooking. We can only recommend it for a family vacation.
