The only thing that earned this place a couple of stars was being able to pay by card 😅. In a tourist spot like Karlova Studanka, it's a shame there isn't a good restaurant. The service was poor, and I believe Czech traditional food can be done well, but this wasn't it.

We ended up going somewhere else for dinner, which was a shame. We'd come all the way from England, only to find every table reserved for some silly dancing. The live band was far too loud and made the meal a nightmare. The staff were very rude, and we're happy we'll never set foot in this restaurant again.

The mineral water whirlpools were really pleasant, and I enjoyed the sauna too. But everything else, including the pools, bathrooms and showers, is outdoors. The sauna itself is enclosed, though you still have to cross the terrace to get to it. There aren't any indoor changing rooms, and the ones outside felt quite cold. Having to dash through below-zero temperatures to get dressed took away from the experience. I only visited the wellness, not the hotel, and it felt much cheaper than some of the better wellness hotels.

The coffee and beer were good, but I wouldn't recommend the place for lunch or dinner. The dishes were boring and came without any extras. They were also too greasy and deep-fried, and the oil probably needed changing more often. Service and food both took a very long time.
