The restaurant was the bright spot: tasty food and good service. Our tiny fridge made a loud noise several times during the night, so we barely slept. And having to walk through the shower area to reach the toilets is ridiculous.

Breakfast was great, and the restaurant and location were good, but those were the only real advantages. The chalet isn't suitable for an off-season stay: there's no heating, and with the wooden house at 6°C overnight, we were freezing. The toilet and shower are 200 meters across the road, whatever the weather, and we weren't given any towels. The website hadn't mentioned either the lack of heat or towels. There was no comfort or renovation, and the room wasn't very clean: our water glasses were stuck to the bedside table with dirt. For four people there was only one electrical outlet, so just one of us could charge a phone. The furniture was old and patched, and the street refrigerator provided in place of furniture didn't work. At 60€ for three people, it was clearly overpriced.

The food and setting were lovely. We visited with my mum and baby during the August high season, and the BB was beside a swimming pool and football pitch. Nights were quiet after 11 pm, when the restaurant closed. We ate at the attached restaurant, enjoyed the meals, and had a very good breakfast included in the room price. It was kid-friendly too, with an outdoor playground and a children's corner inside. But the toys in both areas were broken and should be replaced for children's safety. Our room hadn't been cleaned properly: there was a dirty sock and toilet-paper roll under the bed, crumbs and dust in the carpet, and my baby found several wasabi peanut balls under the bedside table. Some old furniture, like the extra beds, could use replacing too. We arrived without towels, as we had told the cleaning lady, but none were provided because the laundry hadn't arrived. She apologized, but the owner or manager didn't, and offered no compensation. We had to buy towels in town and use them unwashed. Check-in didn't start until 3 pm, unusually late, and breakfast began at 8, also late if you want an early start. The restaurant and hotel staff seemed overworked, though they were generally kind and helpful. I'd suggest the owner bring in more staff, at least on high-season weekends.

We were here for a hockey tournament, and it worked well for our team. The restaurant served good food, and the updated shower room was a plus. The rest has an old-fashioned motel feel, but it's a good place to stay for one night.
