Penzion Pod Houskou

It’s a great base for walking or cycling trips, with pleasant surroundings and lots to do for sport and leisure. The breakfast is generous and better than what some much more expensive hotels offer. The place isn’t luxurious, but the standard is exceptionally good, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. There’s an à la carte restaurant serving traditional Czech food. You have to pay in cash. There’s no mobile signal, though free Wi-Fi is available in the building, but it’s weak and unreliable in some rooms.

The food was excellent, and everyone there was so friendly, especially the owner. We’d love to come back with the whole family, and with Milan and Tereza too. :)
