Horská retrochata MATFYZ

Everything's cool until the drinking starts. After that, it's even cooler.

Room 8 is one to avoid, since our friend dropped a brownie in there. Other than that, I can't think of any cons. The manager's very friendly and likes making goulash. The cottage feels cozy, and after a few liters of spirits, you stop caring where your belly button ends up. This place is legendary: it looks like a dark den at first, but once you're inside with a few dozen cans in the fridge, settled in the lower clubhouse and cracking open the first one, the cottage's charm is hard to describe. Some people get hooked early in the day and struggle to stop. If you want a great weekend at the matfyz cottage, get yourself over there and give your liver and kidneys a proper workout.

It's not the coziest place, but that's just practical when a cottage has to fit a lot of people. It stayed pleasantly warm the whole time, thanks to the manager. I was also pleasantly surprised to find Wi-Fi. It's got everything needed for a large group.

The equipment is very, very old, but that's fine for a big group with kids who don't mind. If you're after inexpensive accommodation for skiing or cross-country skiing near Boží Dar, this is a good choice.
