Great!

We were so disappointed that we cut our stay short and went home a day early. The shared kitchen and lounge were dirty and cluttered, and breakfast was very basic and identical each day. Getting in from the parking lot was a mess too, with snow left uncleared and no grit scattered. When we arrived, the first thing that hit us was an unpleasant smell throughout the guesthouse.

It works well for a group with kids, but the upkeep really needs attention. Tables should be wiped daily and the shared spaces vacuumed, and the kitchen needs a proper degreasing. Staff seemed to spend more time looking at their phones than cleaning. The driveway also needed grit if it’s part of the guesthouse. We couldn’t get out of the parking lot, and it felt like someone could easily break a leg.

The meals were disappointing, and the place felt like a step back in time. The rooms are extremely small, sparsely equipped, and have almost no soundproofing. The furnishings have clearly seen a lot of use, which I could have accepted, but the obvious dirt was much worse: dust in the heating and fan, a sunken shower that wouldn’t drain, and a socket pulled out of the wall. That’s only some of what was visible at first glance.
