Hotel Slovan

There was hardly any life in the place when we arrived on a Sunday. The facilities look good, and the value for money is just about okay, but the basics felt off. Staff seemed focused on themselves instead of the guests. Those of us with dinner included were sent to a separate dining room. It had the lights on full, no background music and no staff around, they were all in the back. Maybe it would be different on another day.

We had half board, and dinner was served just a few minutes after we arrived at the table marked with our room number. We had chosen the next day's dinner in advance. It wasn't restaurant style, but it was quick. Breakfast was an average buffet with eggs, sausage, cheese, ham, salami, butter, jam, fruit and vegetables, plus coffee, tea, juice or water. It was all fine and enough. The Wi-Fi worked well. The hotel has been renovated and sits on a square that looks renovated too. Parking is available on the square, where it's free at weekends and there are usually plenty of open spaces, or behind the hotel, where parking can be free or paid. I expect the rooms are fairly similar. Ours was spacious enough and had a bathtub.

The restaurant serves great food.

Hotel sloven was one of the best hotels I've stayed at. It was very clean, with fantastic views of the city and mountains. Sadly, the devaluation of my country's currency means I can no longer visit this beautiful hotel.
