Aphrodite Suite Hotel Karlovy Vary

We thought we'd booked, but no confirmation email ever came. We tried calling, emailing, WhatsApp, and anything else we could think of to check with the hotel, but couldn't reach anyone. A friend in Prague even called the number locally and got no answer. Does this hotel even exist? There's no charge showing on our credit card, since they said they'd bill us when we arrived, but we have no booking number or anything.

Honestly, it's not nearly as bad as some reviews say. We slept really well, and the location is fantastic, with the city right outside and a sauna less than five minutes away. The apartment has a spacious bedroom, kitchen, dining area, and foyer. Some of the renovation work is a bit rough, with loose tiles and missing grout, but you're not likely to spend much time in the room.

The room wasn't soundproof, despite being advertised that way, and some doors wouldn't close because of the layout. Cleaning staff came only once every three days, just to empty the trash and replace towels. There was even broken glass in the rug. The bed was decent, and the TV did work eventually, though it had a strange 30-second delay after each input. Wi-Fi was weak and slow, and sometimes disconnected. Toiletries amounted to a small soap and one-use shampoo for each person, with no coffee, tea, or hand soap. The bathtub had no shower curtain, so water got everywhere. Staff aren't there 24/7, and they only take cash. Breakfast was okay, but I'd rather eat somewhere else.

I stayed in the apartment. The stay itself wasn't bad, and the staff were nice. But after I left, I realized I'd forgotten some things there. I contacted them within 24 hours and got no reply. I'm sure I left the items in the apartment, so I was disappointed in them.
