Dvorak Spa & Wellness

My stay at Dvorak Spa & Wellness was extremely disappointing. The room didn't match what I booked: there was no balcony, and instead of a double bed there were two single beds pushed together. When I asked about it, I was told rooms like the one I booked are reserved for “VIP guests.” The same explanation was given when I asked about the on-site parking, even though spaces looked available. Why offer these options online if they're not actually available? It felt misleading. Having on-site parking was a key reason I booked. On arrival, I was told there were no spaces, so I had to use a public lot about 9 minutes away, reached by a lot of stairs. Staff offered no shuttle, taxi, or other help. At reception, they just said, “There’s nothing we can do about it.” The bar and wellness facilities were disappointing as well. The pool was quite cold and not relaxing. Misleading information and poor service, with no customer-oriented solutions. I wouldn't recommend it.

The location is spectacular, and breakfast was included. It was just okay. The spa services were the main reason for our stay, but they weren't working. My mom called and emailed several times, and nobody replied to tell us they were out of service. Of the facilities that did work, there were a sauna and steam room. Everything smelled like a wet dog and wasn't clean. The rooms weren't impressive either. My Thai massage was a 5/10, while my friend's was a 10/10. Very disappointing, mediocre at best. Save your money and stay at hotel grand pup down the road.

The restaurant staff were professional and kind, especially Anastasia, Darina, Natasha, Valeria. Thanks a lot, girls. The medical team was also very nice, professional, and friendly: Elena Sladkova room 419, Lilia Trotsenko room 417, Irina Logounov room 418, Irina. Shcherbakova room 416. How can you even compare the Grandhotel Pupp and the Dvořák Spa & Wellness? The Grandhotel Pupp is for casino lovers or for a few days during the film festival. Its food isn't worth the money. Silver-plated cutlery only makes the presentation look more luxurious; it doesn't make the food any better.

The breakfast buffet was really good, and the hotel itself was clean and friendly. We stayed two nights. The dinner buffet, though, cost them two stars. It was hard work just to order a beer, and on the second night the vegetarian option was plain dry pasta, without even tomato sauce (13.12). The food quality was dubious at times, including the liver, which was really odd given how good breakfast was. Talk to whoever's in charge of dinner and five stars are safe.
