Once you're lucky enough to get parked, the location is perfect. Parking is very limited, and the lot across the river costs 20euro/day. It's a 3 minute walk, but the road over the river closes at night, making the drive from the hotel 18 minutes. The hotel's dark, old facilities are hard to find, and the room feels about 40 years old. The lobby and breakfast are in a neighboring hotel. The receptionist was friendly.

I liked Karlovy Vary, which was my first visit, but I didn't like hotel explanada. The staff were very unfriendly, especially in the kitchen, where they were aggressive toward people. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Next time I'll stay at a different hotel.

The hotel is nice, though the entrance is hard to find.

The rooms were clean and the location was excellent, although the rooms are somewhat dated. Most of the staff were friendly and accommodating. Loud conversations among the service staff and rather unenthusiastic service in the breakfast area took away from the experience. The scrambled eggs were cold every time and inedible.
