The staff weren't always at reception, but that didn't bother me. It's a pension, and I got a lot for my money. The breakfast lady was lovely to chat with, and on my second day she made sure I had something I liked better. I'd absolutely come back. The rooms are spacious and clean, with even a minibar. You're in a part of the centre where mostly locals go, but Hotel Thermal and the start of the tourist area are only a five-minute walk away. There's a McDonald's and a small Billa supermarket two minutes away, plus plenty of local shops and cafes. For a quieter, more local stay, this place is great. I don't think it's worth paying for the overpriced hotels in KV, and this place has nothing to envy a four-star hotel for. Elizabeth Spa, Saunia, and the hotel spas are all within walking distance.

The room was finished to a very high standard, the location was excellent, and breakfast was just as good, though I'd skip the coffee. What let it down for me was having to climb 68 stairs with a very heavy bag, one way. The room was blisteringly hot and uncomfortable, even with the window open. There was no fan or air conditioning, and it was only April.

Pension Dvorak was very pleasant. The location made it easy to walk to all the city's attractions, and I'd stay again without hesitation. The room was clean and well prepared, with a TV, minibar, and a very nice bathroom. Breakfast was very good too.

Everything was nearby, and the location was great, but it stayed quiet at night. The dining hall manager was very gracious and let me take a coffee pot up to my room :)
