Hotel Kladno

The day shift receptionist with red hair was the only person who tried to sort things out for us. The rest of the staff were the least friendly I've ever come across. We had no hot water, found a dirty needle on the bathroom floor, and the hotel was literally falling apart. The breakfast and restaurant were horrible too. There's also a whole "village disco" playing loud music late every night. If you don't want peace of mind or decent sleep, and at least a good day receptionist, come on downnn. 👎

The rooms were in poor shape and not very clean, and the bathroom looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a long time. Beds were low quality, so I slept badly. The dining room felt frozen in 1969, with appliances and equipment from that period, and it was poorly kept and generally unclean. Breakfast choices were very limited, so good luck if you're vegetarian or vegan. The whole place felt like a theater show, a live slice of the Czech Republic's communist era. I don't recommend it. For about the same nightly price, I'd look at smaller hotels around town or private apartments.

At 680CZK for one night for two people, the price is the only reason I'm giving it two stars. Otherwise, it'd be a clear one. It's an old communist-era hotel, absolutely retro, with nothing renovated. The reviews compared it to a Ukrainian boarding facility, and that seemed about right. Housekeeping was poor too, with fingerprints all over the things in the room.

I've stayed in lots of hotels, but never one this horrible and disgusting. The only good thing here is the staff. Trust me, guys, don't come to this hotel.
