The garden was a hit with our family. We kicked a football around with the kids and had a great time. Breakfast was amazing too, with organic food and vegetables from the hotel garden. Everything tasted incredible. Café Fara has beautiful rooms, a peaceful feel, and a location that’s hard to beat. Pavlov and the big lake are easy to reach, and Mikulov is only about a three-minute drive away. There’s a little pool, several whirlpools, and an indoor relaxation area. Drinks are available throughout the day, along with small snacks in different spots. The restaurant can get very busy, especially in summer. Hotel guests always get a table, but if you’re dropping in without a reservation, you may need to book ahead or wait. There’s also a small museum café on site. We had a lovely weekend and would really like to return.

There are reserved parking spots just opposite the entrance, and you can pay by card. We stopped for coffee in the courtyard but ended up ordering a little something to eat too, and it was delicious. The service was friendly, and sitting outside at this café and bistro was really pleasant.

The place looks lovely, but the matcha was a real letdown. I asked if they could make the coconut matcha without coconut, as a matcha latte with oat milk, and the waitress said they could. That’s not what I got, though. They should drop the matcha mix and use a good quality matcha powder.

You might have to wait a bit to get in since the place is so good and gets crowded. Once inside, the food is really tasty, and there are dishes you don’t often come across locally. The service was among the best we’ve had in Czech Republic. Our waitress was so nice she didn’t charge us for one dessert after we reminded her about it.
