The kids were happiest on the jumping pillows, and we enjoyed wandering around the grounds and seeing the little zoo with kangaroos, alpacas and other animals. The larger playground was fine, though the smaller one looked dated and could use a brighter refresh. Breakfast had plenty of choice and tasted good, but the eggs and baked beans contained meat, so there wasn’t much for vegetarians. We’d booked the Indian room, but it wasn’t free the first night. The staff had been helpful from the start, including when I bought my partner a birthday voucher and made the reservation, and they arranged for us to stay first in the Italian room and then in the Indian one. Both were roomy, comfortable and nicely themed. The Italian room has two levels; with our one-year-old and three-year-old we used the stair gates and kept a close watch. The Indian room was up a flight of stairs, so we had to carry the buggy, but it was manageable. Svet Resort was conveniently located, and we had a really enjoyable stay. We’d recommend it to families after something fun and a bit different near Prague. Nearby, Vranany Farma Hanč had the best strawberry ice cream we’ve ever tried, and Zoopark Zelčin was a great place for kids to see and interact with animals. Both are worth a visit if you’re in the area.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast had a good selection. Our room was fully equipped and absolutely huge. The setting around the park is beautiful, and the hotel itself is beautiful and spacious too. It’s a rather unusual place.

I loved the food, especially the duck. It was so tender, the best I’ve ever tasted, and the chocolate cake was good too. The hotel has lots of activities for families, and I liked the different country themes.

The scenery is nice, and for the price I think it’s a good option for plenty of people. The room style just wasn’t to my taste. I didn’t find anything negative otherwise.
