Luxury&Quiet charming 2-bedrooms Apt near river

The place was so filthy and in such bad shape that I think it should be shut down. I gave it one star only because that was the lowest option. We arrived at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, October 2nd, to check into the top-floor Moscato flat, hours after our estimated check-in time, but it still wasn't ready. It looked nothing like the bright, welcoming online photos. Instead, it was dark and dingy, with an unbearable smell of curry mixed with urine. The beds hadn't been made, and the mattresses had grotesque stains. There were no hand or bath towels, just a dirty duvet bundled on one bed. The sleeper sofa's vinyl was badly cracked and peeling, so it was uncomfortable even to sit on. Crumbs and something sticky were on the kitchen counters, and dark sticky smears marked several spots on the wooden floor. In both corners by the main living room window, there were large webs with a big spider and trapped bugs. My daughters screamed when they saw them. I was mortified and deeply embarrassed, since I'd booked for my family and my parents, who were joining us on vacation. I called the VC Staff. They said it had already been cleaned, which clearly wasn't true, and offered to send someone with linens and towels. I said I was checking out immediately. They then told me there'd be no refund because I'd booked a non-refundable rate. Trust me, this is not a 3-star property with 8+ ratings.

The location was great, but communication needs work. We had trouble getting our keys at first, and couldn't reserve a seat on the airport shuttle because nobody told us it had to be booked 24 hours ahead.

We had a lovely stay, thanks to the very helpful staff. The apartment was spacious for five, and the rooms were really comfortable. Worth coming back 😀

The rooms and service were good, and our stay was fine. I would have given five stars, but they never got back to me about the camera I accidentally left in the driver's car. They had promised to send it back, then didn't. Sad.
