Penzion na Křižánkách

Nature and plenty of options for outings start right behind the cottage. Inside, each of our four families had a private room with its own bathroom and toilet, plus there was a large dining and living room with a tiled stove and a fully equipped professional kitchen. We had to find somewhere at the last minute after our original booking sold out on departure day, and the owner was really helpful and easy to arrange things with. I can recommend it.

We spent a lot of the afternoon and evening in the garden, with its lovely view of the meadow and forest. There was room for football and a flying saucer, and we even held a cooking competition. The outdoor pool was another highlight. Inside, the spacious common room had a bar and the equipment we needed for our morning presentation and evening hockey match. The rooms were clean, cozy, and had what we needed, whether there were five of us or twenty. Do take a look at the room with the tiled stove, it's really worth seeing. The cooks kept us well fed with delicious, honest homemade food, and the buns with coffee were especially good. The owners were lovely to deal with, stayed available in person or by phone from our first contact until we left, and handled all our requests, sometimes anticipating what we might need. We felt very welcome. We chose Chalupy na Křižánky after a long search for our spring team-building spot and knew it was right. I'd recommend it to any group wanting to spend time together, for work or a holiday.

There are rocks and natural sights to explore nearby once you've had breakfast at the restaurant. The setting is lovely, with beautiful countryside all around, and later you can cool off in the outdoor pool, relax in the hot tub, or have a draft beer in the evening. A great place for a vacation.

It's a quiet, pleasant place with a mostly homely feel, and the rooms are clean and roomy. There's something interesting to find in every direction from the guesthouse. Breakfast is included, and dinner costs a little extra, though I found it annoying that you have to ask the waitress to find out what's being served the next day. I was happy with the room, but the main pillow wasn't enough for me; I would've preferred a fluffier one or a couple of smaller pillows. It seems geared mostly toward families with children, judging by who was staying there. The hallway stairs are a bit noisy and the walls are thin. Still, we enjoyed our stay and can recommend it.
