Apartment Krnov

The apartment itself was clean, comfortable, and pleasant, so we had no complaints about the interior. The problem was feeling like we couldn’t use the garden features advertised with it. The owners live upstairs, and they occupied the gazebo and outdoor dining area every evening. The pool was there, but at first it was covered and unavailable. On arrival, the owner said it was full but too cold for swimming, which seemed understandable in that weather. The next few days got much warmer, up to 36 degrees, and after we asked, he uncovered the pool once. The day before we left, he said a night storm had made it dirty and that he’d added cleaning chemicals, so nobody could use it for 24 hours. We went into town, and our sons came back before us. They found the owner swimming in the pool, despite what he’d told us, and he then had to invite them in too. We couldn’t understand why the apartment is rented in summer with a pool and outdoor dining area if the owners want privacy in the garden. We felt more like intruders than guests.

The owners were very kind and helpful, and the accommodation was quiet and comfortably furnished. There are plenty of extras, including a pool, garden seating with a barbecue, and a terrace. I’d highly recommend it to anyone wanting to explore this beautiful region.

We only needed the apartment for sleeping and were very satisfied with it. It’s clean, cozy, on the ground floor, and has a terrace at the back of the house. Breakfast is optional, and the forest is nearby. I understand the other visitors’ comments about not being able to use the garden or pool in summer, even though Booking.com lists them as free for guests. The house rules say people staying in this apartment must ask before going into the garden, pool, or garden house. So the listing shouldn’t give the impression that guests can freely use the garden. That isn’t the case.

The owners were really pleasant, and the stay was absolutely comfortable.
