There are just a few things I’d change: there aren’t as many electrical outlets as you’d want these days, and some floors or doors creak. The kitchen could use a few new items, especially replacement pans. The sheer curtains are a plus, though maybe not for everyone, including me. Otherwise, everything was clean and smelled fresh, and the beds were very comfortable. The house is classically furnished, giving it a country feel. It’s in a beautiful, quiet location but still close to everything. The window looks out onto the hospital, which is lit up at night. Nearby there’s a restaurant with friendly staff and excellent IPA beer. Inside there are two spacious bedrooms and a roomy living area with a dining room. Out back, you can sit under the pergola and use the charcoal grill or fireplace. There are swings and meadows where sheep graze, and since the house is at the end of the road, I think children may be able to play without constant supervision.

We stayed at Kuks guest house on 17-19.5. 2024, and were very happy with it. The cottage and its surroundings feel like a fairy tale, with the forest only a short walk away and Kuks and restaurants close by. It’s wonderfully peaceful and a great place for children. There’s a nice forest walk of about 10 minutes to the Sporkuv mly restaurant. We wouldn’t stay anywhere else.

The owners are pleasant, and I recommend booking directly with them rather than through an intermediary like booking 🤑. It’s a village-style house with everything needed for cooking. The large garden has a pool, pergola, barbecue, and private parking, and there’s a lovely view of Kuks from the edge of the village. The Elbe River, a cycle path, and a former quarry decorated with sculptures are all nearby 😉. Great spot for families with kids.

A quiet place at the end of the village, with a very caring and pleasant owner. There are lots of outings around, including Kuks, Safari Dvůr Králové ZOO, Les královés dam, and even the Krkonoše Mountains nearby ;-). We especially recommend it for staying with small children. The apartments are well equipped, and the accommodation, garden, and swimming pool are all great.

I really enjoyed the sunken outdoor pool and the garden seating area. The cottage is beautiful, with a nice view of Kuks. The owner was friendly and happy to accommodate requests.
