Right in the middle of the attractions, this was a lovely hotel for the price, and the breakfast was excellent. The online photos didn’t quite match what came with the booking, in a pleasant way. I was surprised by how updated the rooms were, especially the gorgeous bathrooms. I also liked the skylights in my room. Tip: stick your head out for incredible views over the city.

We only stayed one night, so I can’t really judge the room service, but the breakfast was very good, with lots of seating and plenty to choose from. It was a typical hotel breakfast, nothing luxurious, but it had everything I wanted. The room was pretty and clean. I do prefer a shower curtain around the bathtub so the bathroom doesn’t get wet, though that’s probably just because I’m used to standing up to shower, xddd. The hotel sits at the edge of the old center, a great spot for a round trip around the city that brings you back where you started. The receptionist was sweet, friendly, and chatty, which made us feel welcome. We’d forgotten to request parking in advance, so our only option seemed to be the free street parking, which was no problem, but we couldn’t use the hotel lot. The receptionist kindly moved her car from a reserved spot for another guest who hadn’t arrived yet, so we could park there. I doubt that would have been possible for a stay longer than one night, but it was a kind gesture I’ll remember. Next time I’m in Kutna Hora, I’ll try to book here first.

Over 14 days in Czechia, I stayed somewhere different every night. Judging by the value and whether I’d return or recommend this place, my answer is no, sorry. The hotel is solidly built and imposing, with a very friendly welcome, nice furnishings, and original paintings throughout. I booked and paid for a double bed, but at bedtime found two single beds pushed together under what looked like a double bed cover. The photo shows the large gap between them, and anyone could fall down the middle. Charging for a double and providing two singles isn’t acceptable when only one bed can actually be used. If I’d wanted a single, I could have booked a single room for a fraction of the price. Two singles don’t work for couples either, which is a more significant problem. Sound carries freely between rooms. You can hear every noise until people go to bed, then you hear more. Earplugs are essential. For those reasons, I can’t recommend this accommodation.

It’s a great choice for a day or two in Kutna Hora. The hotel is old, but clean, and I liked my stay. Breakfast was good, and the lady at checkout was very nice, in a Czech way.
