There’s plenty of parking, and late check-in was possible. The room was spacious and clean, with a kitchen and equipment available, though some of it looked a bit worn. The beds were hard and squeaked. The castle is nearby, but it was unfortunately being renovated.

We woke to a sunny morning, and the place had a really homely feel. The lady who greeted us was kind, and the gentleman on the phone was helpful even though we arrived at lunchtime and disturbed them. The children, probably their descendants, were exemplary, greeting us and chatting. Pets are welcome too. The church is right nearby, and there’s a wine cellar about a 10-minute walk away with great wine. The castle was closed, unfortunately, but we enjoyed looking around the surroundings. It’s a peaceful countryside spot with a bit of romance, best suited if you’re not especially demanding about your accommodation. It felt good to know there are still places where life seems normal.

The owners were fantastic and helpful, and it’s a great spot for a Moravia vacation, especially with pets. The area is quiet, with Znojmo 13 km away. Lechovice Chateau and its garden are only a few minutes on foot, and the local wine shop is around a 5-7 minute walk away.

We found the surroundings pleasant and clean, and the receptionist was very helpful. The kitchen was equipped, though we had to go down to the village to get food.

The staff were nice :) but for two people staying two nights, there was only one roll of toilet paper.
