Hotel U Beránků

The pizzeria service was great, and Mrs. Beránková gave us helpful advice on choosing wine. She’s a warm, pleasant owner who’s happy to help with questions or requests during your stay. I’d recommend it!

We found the price reasonable, and the location was great, right by the park and river with a sandy beach. It worked well for cycling trips. The owner kindly let us arrive an hour early, and we could park for a few crowns in a locked, guarded yard across the street. Our apartment was spacious and newly renovated, with a microwave, coffee maker, and basic dishes. Dinner and breakfast were both excellent, and the staff were friendly and helpful. They also had draft beer.

Breakfast was generous, with homemade plum cake, tea, juice, coffee, milk, and more. We were very satisfied with our stay in the spacious room, and the owner gave us a warm, practical welcome when we arrived in the evening as arranged. I recommend this family hotel.

For 1380 CZK, the room and breakfast felt far too expensive for what was provided. The metal beds creaked, there was no TV, wardrobe, or even a single hanger, and the shower was so cramped I could barely get in or move around. I’m 190 cm tall and weigh a little over 100 kg. Breakfast cost 180 CZK and came with about two fried eggs, one slice of edam folded into a fan, two similarly folded ham slices to make the portion look bigger, two pepper rings about 3 mm thick, a few small tomato slices, coffee, and a glass of water. Juice was available as an option. I was there on business and only stayed one night at the U Beránků hotel.
