Hostel Loket

The heating in our room didn't seem to work, so we relied on the portable heater provided. We had worried about finding somewhere for our bikes, but the woman who greeted us handed over a key to a storage room, so that was sorted. The beds were made up, and there was soap by the shower and sink plus toilet paper, which we hadn't expected. The shared kitchen had enough facilities; the common-room TV was fine, though who watches TV on holiday? At first glance Hostel Loket didn't look very welcoming, but inside it was a different story, and for the room price I had no complaints.

For what I paid, this felt like luxury. I had just paid twice as much for a broom closet in Kladská the day before 😀. I was by myself in a triple room and was really surprised by how clean the room, bathroom, and kitchenette were.

The price feels high for the quality. In the morning and evening, there can be 15 people waiting for the one toilet. It's fine only when you're the sole guest in the whole building.

The place is quiet and inexpensive, and the staff are friendly. There's a kitchenette guests can use, with coffee and tea included.
