The service was excellent, but I was let down by the Caesar salad. Think of a basic white European salad: the eggs were so overcooked they had a green ring around the yolks, and the toast was just cut in half. The chicken was white, with no sign of being pan-fried, and had no seasoning. There was a ton of off-brand sauce and far too much shredded cheese.

We dropped into the restaurant on Sunday morning looking for some kind of breakfast. They had two soups, "přesnídávková" goulash and kulajda, and both were nice. The goulash portion was really big, and it came with delicious bread that had just been baked again.

The room was one of the strangest spaces I’ve seen, even by Czech pension standards. The toilet was right in the middle, with enough room to dance around it, and plastic tropical plants stuck out of the floor without even a vase or flowerpot. Best of all, there was a huge Yakuza in the middle of the room that didn’t work. The guy said, “Do you think the room would be so cheap if it worked?” We were the only guests, and the service turned unfriendly as soon as we arrived. When we asked what time the pub closed, they told us not to worry, since we’d be the first to know. They also wouldn’t let us take a bottle of their wine to our room, though it was tasty and good quality. Think about whether you want this experience. It’s fun in a bizarre way, but not fun in all the other ways.
