Klinovec Apartments

Really great.

We had a friendly landlord, and the underground garage came with a parking space, which was a nice extra. The apartment itself is fine for what it costs. The bathroom is tiny, though, and two people can't be in it together. The big downside is the lack of an elevator. Hauling all your winter holiday gear up to the third floor is no fun 😰

The view from the second floor, facing west, over Klínovec and nearby Oberwiesenthal was fantastic. The Ore Mountains are a favorite place of mine to recharge, and I had a great time here and in the trail park. The location was a big part of that: about five minutes to the cable car, ski bars, a great Après restaurant, and the forest. There are several rentals in house no. 112, including the place listed on booking as "Ski apartman Klinovec". This 2+kk apartment sleeps up to five. It has basic furnishings, good storage, and balconies you can reach from both the bedroom and living room. It was the largest and nicest apartment I could find for my dates and location, with underground parking included. The price was in line with other options. The place has plenty of useful appliances: a dishwasher, kettle, Nesspresso, toaster, microwave, and electric oven. I missed having an iron, a hairdryer, and a large mirror, and there is no washing machine. A few design details could be better too: the bathroom door hits the shower, and there are no sockets by the dining table or bedside tables. The building is only a few years old and has four floors, but no elevator, so carrying bags up from the garage gets sweaty.

The setting is peaceful and private, while the important spots around this part of the mountains are only a few minutes away. The apartment is spacious, well equipped, new, modern, and clean. There are terraces with lovely mountain views, plus outdoor seating for a barbecue. The private garage is large enough for two cars. It feels like having the comforts of home in the mountains. The owner was very pleasant and easy to arrange things with. I'd definitely recommend staying here.
