Hotel Hláska

The service was fine, and the room was clean, with its own bathroom. It was enough for a short stay. There’s a simple kitchen and continental breakfast, and in the 2023 update, I have to give an extra star for the marinated pork neck. The windows don’t open, the furniture is broken, and most of the equipment has a heavy socialist retro feel. Still, there’s a Grohe in the bathroom. This is a tourist hostel, so the basic setup was sufficient for me in June 2022.

We celebrated Easter here with our musicians’ group, Jam - Weekends, and the “Easter Entertainment “Jam Session”” was a real success. The owners stayed with us until 2 am on Friday and Saturday, and were patient and keen to accommodate us. We had duck or rabbit for lunch and were extremely satisfied. This was our second whole weekend at the Hláska Hotel this year, and it was great again. We’re already planning a third visit this year, and I’ll add some new photos.

A few meters from the hotel are the Sázava river and a restaurant, with beautiful countryside all around. There’s also a lovely garden in front where you can unwind. The rooms at Hotel Hláska were clean and cozy, and the place has a pleasant, family feel. The owner and staff were all friendly and very helpful. I’d recommend it to anyone who enjoys nature, boating, and a family atmosphere.

The sauna was working, which I was especially glad about. We were happy with the accommodation and how the staff treated us during our student excursion.
