The guesthouse is centrally located near the bus station, and it was handy to have a grill and outdoor seating. The rooms were very basic and had an unpleasant smell. The toilets, rooms, kitchenette, and hallway hadn’t been cleaned properly. There were no dish towels, and the kettle was dirty with mineral deposits.

It was a wonderful long weekend for us. The guesthouse is well placed for heading straight out on local hikes, and the rooms were clean. The staff were very friendly, breakfast was plentiful, and there’s a self-service bar. Kids have plenty to do too: a climbing wall, table football, pinčes, and board games in the dining room, plus a slide, little sandbox, and swing in the backyard.

The place and staff are great, and the breakfast buffet is wonderful. The room feels a bit retro, but it’s fine if you’re looking for a place to stop. I also appreciated the trust they place in guests: you mark down what you take from the bar and pay for it later.

We spent an extended Easter weekend here, and the meals, location, accommodation, and breakfast were all fine. The staff were very helpful, and parking is right next to the building, though it seems tight enough that one more car could cause a problem. Our room didn’t have its own bathroom or kitchenette, but shared facilities were across the corridor. Getting to the toilet or bathroom meant passing people eating or having breakfast, and that was also true for rooms with direct access to the main dining room. The shower stalls could use somewhere to put toiletries. Breakfast was a standard buffet: sweet and savory food, cakes, around four kinds of pastries, ham, salami, cheese, fruit, vegetables, yogurt, muesli, coffee, tea, and juice. The juice was sometimes fine and sometimes almost like water. The location is handy for hiking and for renting bikes or scooters nearby. The train station is about 200 meters away, which is useful for trips further afield. You can hear the train and crossing bells almost right under the windows, but it doesn’t happen that often and didn’t really bother me. I’d recommend it.
