Pension Akropolis

The host was very hospitable, and the breakfast was excellent. Our room was clean and comfortable, with a kettle, microwave, refrigerator, and TV. There were many other guests around. We recommend this hotel next to the main building.

We've stayed here two years running, and the place makes it easy to relax. Tatyana's delicious breakfasts and the hosts' warm, almost friendly welcome create a lovely atmosphere. Natalia and Oleg deserve a big thank you. The rooms are fairly spacious and cozy, and the hotel is 300 meters from the main mineral springs, Carolina and Rudolf. Great value!

Marienbad is a great location for this hotel, close to the center and sights, and the welcome was friendly. Breakfast was simple but decent. The room was more or less okay, but sleeping was very uncomfortable: the beds were rock hard, the mattress thin, and the sheets rough, worn, and full of holes. The hallways weren't very clean, and the outside wasn't well maintained. There's no elevator. The staff barely speak any languages, and made paying by credit card difficult, insisting on cash. We booked because there was supposedly an indoor pool and wellness area, but those turned out to be across the street at another hotel. Parking was advertised too, but there's barely room for three cars.

Room 14 was spacious, clean, and nicely furnished, with a large bathroom and two sinks. There was no balcony, though. The toilet was cramped against the wall, leaving your knees right up against it. Breakfast was fine and had what you needed to fill up. They cooked scrambled eggs, fried eggs, and sausages fresh to order. There were four kinds of bread but no rolls. Parking depends on availability, and there are only five spaces.
