They say dogs are allowed, but after we'd booked they told us dogs weren't permitted. We wrote to ask why and got no reply, so we found a better hotel that cares more about customer service.

We’ve stayed in plenty of places, and this was one of the best. The house is beautifully decorated, breakfast was pleasant, and the atmosphere felt calm and genuinely friendly.

The rooms are roomy and breakfast was good. Beds were okay, though the pillows felt hard.
