Wellness Hotel Volarik

A modern, cozy new hotel, close to the city centre. My room was nicely equipped and had a great view, and there's free parking. The atmosphere and service are lovely, with good wine and food to enjoy. It does cost more, but I'd definitely recommend it.

The staff really came through for us at the end. I left some things in the bathroom, and they quickly found them and mailed them to us within days. Some locals around here can come across a little rough, but the service we got was excellent and friendly. The hotel is just outside the old town, and it still feels private despite the homes next door. We had a great dinner through room service for good value. The buffet was plentiful and fresh, and the breakfast room has a nice view. Both spa areas were inviting and well kept, with an indoor pool, sauna and steam bath upstairs, plus a swimming pond and sauna in the garden. The design is sleek and modern but still cozy, and the quiet rooms had great beds. It was even better than I'd expected. Fully recommend.

A lovely wellness hotel with a little biotope, sauna and good massages. The breakfast was superb, though surprisingly small.

The dining was fine, but nothing special, and the rooms didn't leave much of an impression either. They were clean and had the basics, though the decor and furnishings, especially in the bathroom, felt dated. The hotel looks luxurious at first and is pleasant enough, but it didn't live up to the five-star reputation for me. It might stand out locally, but the service and staff professionalism fell short of what I've experienced at similar hotels abroad. The staff were friendly, yet I noticed a lack of attention to detail. Sometimes it felt as if guests were an inconvenience. I had to wait longer than expected for things I'd requested, and communication with the front desk could have been smoother. Maybe local guests or tourists without much international comparison would be more impressed. For a seasoned traveller, this was average, not bad, just not what its star rating led me to expect. I'd give it three stars, with room to improve service and professionalism.
