Apartmán Mladé Buky 50

The apartment was warm, clean, and had the basics covered, including dishes, parking by the house, a ski room, and a thermostat we could control ourselves. It’s also close to the Mladé Buky ski area. I’d swap the feather pillows for fabric ones and the synthetic bedding for cotton, but otherwise the accommodation was great. It was frustrating to find a button torn off the TV and its original remote missing. Once the TV was reset to Czech, it worked fine. Mladé Buky is a good place for families with kids, though food options are a problem. The COOP around the corner has excellent pastries, but the only restaurant, Kravín, is worthless.

The landlady was very pleasant and let us stay until the afternoon on departure day. We didn’t have to leave the apartment at 10, so we had time to take another trip.

Mlade Buky has almost more to offer than neighboring Pec pod Snezkou, and the price for what you get is very reasonable. The place met our expectations, and we’ll come back with the kids. Thanks! One letdown was the temperature: the whole apartment was still only max19C. For some people that might feel like a cruel winter, and it did for us :-(

A pleasant, interesting place, though evenings can be noisy and you hear everything. Otherwise it was fine, and I’d gladly stay again.
