There’s plenty of walking and sports to do in the surrounding area. The staff were professional, friendly, and courteous, and the drinks menu was a pleasure, especially the beers. We ate tasty home cooking in the kitchen. This former border station, beautifully set in the forest beside a lake, has been lovingly turned into a romantic hotel with an imperial feel and lots of antiques. The rooms are large and nicely furnished, and make you want to linger. A clear recommendation.

The service was so nice and friendly, and the food was excellent. Prices were reasonable too. We had a lovely lunch and will definitely come back. I’d recommend it as a lunch stop.

I stayed here with my family. The staff were helpful, and there’s a nice playground as well as a private lake with boats guests can use. The hotel is really nice, but our room, number 19, was too dark, and the bed was full of dust mites. We have allergies, so it affected our sleep. The bathroom was especially unpleasant, with a cheap hostel-like feel. It may be one of the best hotels in the region, but it’s much more expensive than others. I don’t think it’s worth the money.

The food was delicious and the staff were very pleasant. The owner pitched in to help them, but I didn’t realize who he was. I honestly thought he was just an energetic guest clearing our plates after we’d finished :D. We’ll be happy to come back when we can.

Inside this beautiful hotel in a historic building, there’s a small library with some interesting titles, a family collection of hunting trophies, and a place to sit by the fireplace.
