We stayed three nights as a group of 30 bikers. It’s very peaceful, with nice views and good routes for biking and hiking around Šumava. The owners were kind and provided extras like bike storage and late food service. There’s a large group room with more than 30 seats, plus a piano and billiard table. Our rooms were clean, the food was fresh and high quality throughout, and the bunk beds were very sturdy. I slept on the top one at 130kg.

The location is really nice, and the place would be great if you like long walks. But if you want pleasant service and friendly staff who help with directions and guidance, don’t count on that. As a guest, don’t expect to be waited on. Be ready to be directed and told what to do and when. It’s a little annoying, though everyone is different.

The place seems stuck in the 90s, so don’t come expecting modern or trendy food. I also wouldn’t visit with lively kids, since the owner seems not to like children.

The setting is beautiful, and the guesthouse has a garden with plenty to do: beach volleyball, ping pong, football, and a projector in the common room. The owners are kind and helpful. We had half board, which they arranged even for people we hadn’t expected, and the food was absolutely great. I highly recommend it!
