The owner and cook were rude and kept insisting that the meat was beef, brushing off our concerns. My husband ordered a medium-rare beef steak, but what arrived looked, smelled, and tasted like raw pork. People at the next table also said it looked like pork. Serving food like this is unethical and dangerous. An inspection seems long overdue. Some other reviews make it look as though this may happen regularly. What a truly awful experience!

The place has a really cozy feel, and the staff were friendly, efficient, and spoke English. The food was great too. I loved the soup with its poached egg, and the chicken dish was cooked perfectly.

The service was fine, and the strudel was good. The espresso was Czech-sized. The zebra was full of bone chips and dry, and I could barely taste the honey and mustard through whatever grilling spice was on it. The pancakes were flat and rubbery. Three stars for the service and strudel alone.

They confirmed availability three months before arrival, and I sent confirmation of the reservation. A few days before the stay, it turned out there was no room after all, but only when I checked again myself. They had a national holiday and were probably taking regular guests who were friends. This is the worst thing a hotel can do. I hope they go bankrupt!
