I loved the quiet by the ponds, especially walking along the misty banks in the morning beneath all those huge oaks. It felt private and peaceful, and the place itself is beautiful. The room was clean and nice, but the bed really let it down. It was very low, more like a prison bunk, with a wooden board and only a thin bit of upholstery, about 8 cm at the edges and maybe 2 cm in the middle. No mattress. There's an indoor pool too, though I didn't try it.

The owners were really kind and helpful, and there was plenty to do outdoors, from the playground to grilling or making a fire. We stayed in clean rooms with a kitchen available, and the pond view made the natural setting even nicer. There's also an indoor pool with a counter-current.

For cycling, the flat routes and the climb up to the border are great, and there are two small breweries nearby too. The area is lovely, without as many people as the Třeboň region, and the guesthouse itself was beautiful and clean.

The fenced grounds and the almost magical setting make this a lovely holiday spot, with kids or without. Everything was clean and the amenities were just right, and the owners were so nice. I've stayed in plenty of places, some good and some less so, and usually find something to praise, but here it's hard to choose because everything was great. If I could, I'd give it 10 stars out of 5. Thank you.

Beds could be better, and the kitchen was only moderately well equipped. Still, the owners were nice, the guesthouse was clean, and the surroundings are beautiful. Seems ideal for cyclists and mushroom pickers.
