The mattress was spotless, though I wasn't as happy with the pillow and blanket. I barely saw anyone at reception or in the rooms during my Monday night stay, so the place felt a bit creepy on my own. It was quiet, which makes sense for a hostel above a music club in a small village on a weeknight. Still, it's a solid hostel, even with all the graffiti art.

I've stayed here twice and was happy with both visits. The staff are friendly, the place has style, the pub is huge, and the room has what you need. What keeps it at four stars for me is that you can't pay by card. The Euronet ATM by the hostel charges outrageous fees and has a high minimum withdrawal of 1000kč. Without KČ, a stay can end up much more expensive.

It's a handy, inexpensive base for a night or two with friends, close to both the bus station and the hiking trail starting point. Nothing fancy, but it covers the basics, and the staff are helpful and friendly. Bigger towels would be nice.

Klara really made my stay. She was so kind and ready to help, and even texted me the bus connection along with directions for getting there. The hostel is also in a great spot, and the bathroom and shower were very clean. The rooms may surprise you at first, but all the graffiti is fun and gives them a different feel from a typical hostel. I'd definitely return.

The bar downstairs is great for beer, billiards and hanging out, with lots of wood inside and a nice atmosphere. They sometimes have concerts, and the pizza is seriously delicious. It's a good weekend spot with a partner or friends, close to Snezka, skiing, snowboarding and other activities.
