A cosy place to stay, with amazing food and the best customer service we've seen in Krkonose. Both owners go out of their way to make sure you're looked after and that nothing spoils your holiday. They also offer lots of recommendations for hiking and winter sports.

The place is clean and cozy, and very close to the skibus stop. But the rooms get much too hot, and there's no way to open any window. There are two shared bathrooms for nine rooms.

The owner is a chef, and in the evenings he likes to show off his cooking while you have a freshly tapped beer. The guesthouse has been fully rebuilt, with warm, cozy rooms where we could relax after a day out. There’s crisp air, free parking, and ski buses only a short walk away. The livelier spots are higher up, and there are plenty of nearby slopes for winter skiing. The area is lovely in summer too. Our hike to Sněžka was magical, and next time we’ll stay longer. When the snow is good, you can ski for kilometers in every direction. On the way back, Tesco in Trutnov, about 20 km away, is a good place to pick up Czech and Slovak specialties.
