Penzion a Restaurace Stará Roudná

We stayed for four days and loved it. The room was gorgeous, and the staff were kind, friendly, and incredibly helpful. We accidentally ordered £75 worth of steak each, but it turned out to be worth every penny. I highly recommend both staying here and eating here. The rest of the menu isn’t as expensive, and breakfast can be included. We loved that too.

From the moment we checked in, the family made us feel welcome. I’d booked a single room for two nights and got a double room instead :). The pension and room were clean and comfortable, with an old Czech feel that gave the place a local touch. The family-run pension is close to everything, and parking in the square beside it was easy. The restaurant has a big menu and served me the biggest, best steak I’ve tried: all 800g of it, tender and juicy :). Breakfast was really nice, and when I left they gave me two sandwiches to take along. That’s great hospitality. Have a look at my photos of the pension. I’ll definitely return when I’m in Plzen. The room was comfortable and clean, and the price was reasonable. We’d hoped to try the restaurant, which is said to serve good food, but it was full because we hadn’t booked. If you plan to eat there during your stay, make a reservation when you book the room.

It’s close to the center, and the owner was nice. We checked in too late to eat at the guesthouse, so she suggested somewhere for dinner. Breakfast was delicious 😋.
